Doctrine
- Systematized knowledge that is kept constant and assumed to be absolutely true.
- But since nothing is absolutely true, the doctrine can be updated to conform to new discoveries by writing commentary.
- The doctrine is owned by doctors or professional doctors. Doctors refers to someone who mastered the doctrine and is licensed to teach it.
- From this we understand that doctors have a monopoly on the content of the doctrine. Only they can teach it.
- But the real power of professional doctors come from their right to define.
- And unsurprisingly doctors define their doctrine as the only true knowledge.
- So, Doctors make careers by writing commentary on the doctrine in order to change the doctrine without changing its wording. This is why scholasticism is sophistry.
- Professional doctors are masters of sophistry.
- One of the purposes of scholasticism is the preservation of knowledge (doctrine).
- The reason for the existence of scholasticism is to reconcile “reason” and “faith”.
- Reason and faith can only be reconciled by sophistry, casuistry, equivocation, lies and by using other rhetorical deception tricks of scholasticism. This is still the case.
