Fundamental
My comment after watching this video:
- Your guest and physicists in general do not know the meaning of the word fundamental.
- Fundamental refers to your fundamental assumptions and axioms and not to some higher level theories you’ve built on your fundamental assumptions.
- Physics today is still Newtonian because physicists accept without question the fundamental assumptions stated by Newton: God created the world in indivisible units called matter and these indivisible units are set in motion by forces.
- Newton assigned his followers the job of finding these forces and phyisicists still think that finding or naming new forces is fundamantal work.
- No. Asking if the world is made of indivisible Newtonian units is fundamental.
- All physics theories assume this Newtonian atomic materialism.
