Fundamental

My comment after watching this video:

  1. Your guest and physicists in general do not know the meaning of the word fundamental.
  2. Fundamental refers to your fundamental assumptions and axioms and not to some higher level theories you’ve built on your fundamental assumptions.
  3. Physics today is still Newtonian because physicists accept without question the fundamental assumptions stated by Newton: God created the world in indivisible units called matter and these indivisible units are set in motion by forces.
  4. Newton assigned his followers the job of finding these forces and phyisicists still think that finding or naming new forces is fundamantal work.
  5. No. Asking if the world is made of indivisible Newtonian units is fundamental.
  6. All physics theories assume this Newtonian atomic materialism.
