we need to clarify what we mean by force
this is not easy
because it is not easy to unravel newton’s web of sophistry around force
there is the definition so-called of force \(F=GMm/r^2\) but what does this define

the ambiguity of the meaning of the word force is obvious here. It is not the force that is contact or non-contact, it is the motion.
Contact forces occur with transfer of motion and this is outside of the realm of the occult Newtonian force that creates and powers orbits.
There are no contact forces because if there were this would mean that new motion is created. But no new motion is created, motion is only transferred. This principle is enough to dismiss the Newtonian force from physics.

The cause created the phenomenon we observed so the cause must be real. We mey not know the cause because of the limitations of our tools but the cause cannot be impossible.
We observe a phenomenon in this world. We may say that we do not know its cause, but we cannot say is scientists that it has a supernatural cause.

Yes. By definition, Newton’s force is supernatural because it travels huge distances without time passing. But we know that nothing in this world travels without time passing.

Usually, Newton’s force is called an action-at-a-distance force and it is. But I prefer to emphasize that by definition this force or cause travels distances without time passing. This is called timeless travel and it does not happen in our world. Therefore, we must conclude that Newton’s supernatural force-cause cannot exist in this world.
But ultimately, the fact that Newton’s force is supernatural is a red herring because Newton’s force does not enter the effective formulas used to compute orbits. We see this clearly in the so-called Newtonian mechanics. Newton’s followers write two force terms as if they will be using to compute orbits but then they cancel them by equating them to each other. At the end, orbits are computed without force terms. Do the force terms remain in the formulas even after they are eliminated? Newton’s followers claim that the force terms they eliminated remain “implicitly” in the effective formulas. Seeing invisible terms in mathematical formulas has been a standard trick of Doctors of Philosophy as long as scholasticism existed. Physicists can enforce invisible terms by their scholastic authority.

Everyone, including Newton and physicists, agree that Newton’s “force of attraction”, also called “gravity”, is a supernatural cause.
By naming this supernatural cause “force” Newton is trying to hide the fact that he is using a supernatural cause to explain orbits.
